Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) has announced it is selling its New Ulm, Minn., butter plant to Grassland Dairy Products Inc. of Greenwood, Wis. The sale is expected to close by the end of calendar 2025.

Sheryl Meshke, president and CEO of Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI), has been named to the 2025 Class of Distinguished Alumni by the South Dakota State University (SDSU) Alumni Association.

AMPI Young Cooperator (YC) families focused on farming for the future during the annual YC Summer Tour in St. Cloud, Minn. This year’s event brought together the largest group in nearly a decade with 45 adults and 34 children attending. Of those, 15 families were first-time attendees.

AMPI’s first MasterClass is in the books, and participants say the experience has taken their cooperative involvement and leadership to the next level. The inaugural class included 19 dairy farmer-leaders from throughout AMPI country.

Some of the U.S. military’s best and brightest are coming to AMPI, thanks to the co-op’s partnership with the Department of Defense (DOD). The co-op is among U.S. companies participating in the Skillbridge program, a DOD-funded initiative that helps U.S. armed forces members transition to post-military careers.
